International Workshop – 2025

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Coimbatore Institute of Technology, hosted an Online International Workshop 2025.

Industry Conclave 2025

On 8th August 2025, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT), hosted its first-ever Industry Conclave on the theme “Enabling Smart Connectivity and Next-Gen Innovation.”

With over 270 participants, the conclave successfully bridged the gap between academia and industry, bringing together experts from semiconductors, wireless technology, automotive, IT, and enterprise solutions.

Expert Talk on “Writing Quality Technical Papers for IEEE”

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in collaboration with the Department of Library, Coimbatore Institute of Technology, successfully organized an expert talk titled “Writing Quality Technical Papers for IEEE” on 29th July 2025 at LBCH.

The session was delivered by Mr. Dhanu Pattanashetti, Senior Client Services Manager, IEEE, who shared valuable insights on technical paper writing, manuscript preparation, submission procedures, and IEEE publishing standards.

Internship Conducted

• The IoT Center @ CIT organized a summer internship on "Cloud-Based Intelligent Edge-Powered IoT Solutions". Around Five fourth-semester students from Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology participated in the program, guided by three faculty members who provided training throughout the internship.

Winter Internship Program 2025

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Coimbatore Institute of Technology, proudly congratulates the students who successfully completed the 10-day Winter Internship Program conducted from 20.11.2025 to 29.11.2025.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who explored various domains including Electronics, Digital Electronics, Linear Integrated Circuits, IoT, Embedded Systems, VLSI, 5G Communication, RF & Antennas, and Signal & Image Processing.

The internship featured hands-on sessions, technical demonstrations, and mini-projects that effectively bridged the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world engineering applications.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the faculty members and mentors for their dedicated guidance and support throughout the program, empowering students to become future innovators in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

National Level Hackathon Conducted


“Nexus 24 ”was held on March 23rd , 2024, jointly with Career Guidance and Counseling Cell of CIT.
• First round - Idea submission - 150 teams. 93 teams were shortlisted after Evaluation by internal faculty members for online presentation on March 4th.
• Second Round - A panel of 12 industrial experts’ shortlisted 78 teams for final round, prototype development.
• The teams were given two weeks of mentoring by both industry and academic experts for prototype development.
• Final Round was held on March 23rd , 2024. Three teams were short listed.

The Project titled, "Design and Development of Novel Anti-Drone Defense System” with following team members has successfully participated and Competing against 68 talented teams, the project was awarded the First Prize at the National-level Innovative Design Protection Challenge (IPR Pride 2024).
Their innovative solution stood out, earning them a well-deserved 5000 cash prize.
The event was organized by the Intellectual Property Rights Cell at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, on August 30th, 2024.
